Background: Stress is a contributing factor to the increase in mental illness among teenagers. The School nurses are obliged to work promotive to prevent ill health in teenagers. The psychosocial part takes more of School nurses? time while other school health duties increases.Purpose: To highlight the School nurses? experience of teenagers stress and the work to help them deal with it.Method: A qualitative study with semi-structured questions. A strategic sample was used and eight nurses participated.

AbstractThe aim of the study was to describe how School nurses experience the work with overweightchildren and youths from the compulsory school to upper secondary school and what kind ofnursing interventions they perform. The study had a descriptive design and ten School nursesfrom a municipality in the middle of Sweden participated. Data were collected by semistructured interviews and analyzed using qualitative content analysis. The result is presentedin six categories and one theme. The category to identify and investigate describes how theSchool nurses, based on the result from the health interviewing, identified and investigated theoverweight children.

Thirteen percent of the Swedish children declare that they have been beaten by their parents or other adults. While interviewing these children it has been discovered that they want adults to talk to them more about the violence they have experienced. Through intense research the understanding of the importance of asking patients about violence has deepened, during the last years and this year a new Swedish law has been instituted about the matter. The Swedish School nurses work shall be health promoting and preventive, due to the Swedish law about schooling. In this work the School nurses have an institutionalized task in performing health consultations with every one of the Swedish children.

The purpose with this study is to investigate how School nurses and welfare officers in high schools within defines and works with stress among the youths. The study also investigates how the School nurses and the welfare officers work to prevent stress in the schools and if there is cooperation between the two professions. The study is based on a social constructive perspective and a system-thinking.

The topic for this essay is tutoring for nurses. The study is about nurses who work in a nursing home for the elderly and who want to get tutoring and more education. Qualitative method was used and twelve nurses who worked in a nursing home were interviewed. The interviews were taped and written down. Then relevant quotes were picked out of the text and placed into eight different themes.
